Our Story

The most ambitious student-led entrepreneurship community is riding the rising wave. Being close to the demographic at hand, UQIES has propelled the state of youth entrepreneurship at UQ and beyond. Firstly, being the first touchpoint into entrepreneurship or innovation, many UQIES members have found themselves joining the ride. Secondly, UQIES acknowledges its place in the larger ecosystem - championing and supporting those who can take its members further. Thirdly, the ambitious, proactive and impact-first community surrounding UQIES has led to some of its members being starting their own ventures, pivoting careers, and finding a safe space to feel at home on what too many find a lonely journey. These three reasons are why UQIES has had unprecedented growth and is finding itself launching rockets but most importantly, building a new generation of change.
